samplers had progressed to a certain point of clarity and thump for drums yet their sample time had not progressed that much, and so it made you 1. be more careful about what samples you selected 2. be more creative with the samples if you didn't have enough sample time 3. made you focus more on one element at a time and perfecting that particular part of the beat

overall it just made for more attention to detail and more thinking, analyzing and perfecting less elements but often times with rap beats less is more .

1 aks you, what is one suppposed to do when under the threat of violence by another human?

For one, if you engage this person and enter into a streetfight, gunfight etc... the person who wins the fight almost always goes to jail, regardless if they were just trying to defend themselves.

but the thing about this whole art thing is that it is subjective to a point but not really, good art is obvious, any person with a real sense of aesthetics for that particular genre will be able to tell, whether they agree with the message or not for instance, or don't even like it, but you can tell it is real art, not just some commercial directed at a certain market.

But the problem is, that basically the collective humanity decides who gets recognized for their efforts, and humanity as a whole has horrid taste... the average human would eat rat defecation with a grin if they were told by the media that it tasted great and was part of a healthy diet.
